Welcome, Guest Number:

The MissionLiving in pain? I do and it's not what I want or choose for my life. If you're tired of going day to day feeling like nobody understands or there's no way off the pain merry-go-round then you're on the right site.  If you want to keep living life being a victim of chronic pains then log off or hit your browser because this is a battle to break the hold that chronic pains have on our lives.  Fellow sufferers of pain, I give you the VGE-LLC Family of Websites.

My mission is to offer a support place, a sounding board, insight into ways to regain and improve our productivity and for everybody to visit, enjoy, educate, entertain, obtain and arm themselves with superb products for everything from pain relief to girls shoes to zylophones. To educate themselves vicariously thru my personal and various readers experiences, proven methods, well written easy to read informational materials and tried and true ideas for a healthier, happier and less pain filled lifestyle.

Why do I do what I do?: Chronic Pain. Chronic pain sufferers like yourself.  My family and the many families of chronic pain sufferers who are silently fighting their battles alone and without solid resources. The friends of chronic pain sufferers. All types of chronic pains. Fibromyalgia. Chronic back pain. Chronic neck pain. Chronic leg pain. Chronic arm pain. All pains. Pains from overextertion. Pains from injuries. Headaches and Migraines. Stomaches. Pain in general.

Temporary or permanent, pain is the sour taste of life. It reminds us that we are alive and at the same time snatches away some if not all of the quality of our lives. It affects not just you and me but our families, friends and co-workers. Pain also costs thousands upon thousands of dollars in lost work wages.

Heat Therapy Products    Pain costs millions of dollars in prescription medications. Pain results in more visits to the doctor or specialist pushing insurance rates higher than we can already afford to pay. Pain just plain and simple takes away the freedom to truly enjoy life.

So, if you're here because you're the one in pain, I empathize with you. If you're a family member, friend or co-worker of the one in pain, I understand your concern but believe me, chronic pain sufferers, we don't want to be in pain. We'd give just about anything to be like we were before being afflicted with the conditions that are generating the pains.  Pains that have changed us and make everyday a battle.

We battle the pain, the frustration, the aggravation, the loss of our productivity, the loss of our sexuality, the loss of our womanhood, the loss of our manhood and the loss of dreams we had for our lives.  We fight the depressive thoughts and the sadness we see in our loved ones eyes.

Everyday is the start of new hope that we will be able to break free of the chronic pains binds and run down the street singing and dancing, picking up our little girls and boys, tossing the ball, jumping rope, doing whatever it is that we want unrestricted by the pain.  We know our family and friends don't fully understand what we are experiencing; hell we barely understand it but we still have to live thru it.

So, for those who just stumbled here, you're welcome to. You need to know what we fight against so you can really support us, help us overcome this plight.  We don't want pity. We want you to understand and know that you might not be in pain, Lord knows we hope you never have to suffer like this but your input is just as valuable to remind us chronic pain sufferers that our goal is to return to a life as free of pain as possible and as soon as humanly possible.

Back And Body Massagers    Regardles of what got you here, I am glad you are here. Welcome and please take your time and enjoy the site. If you want more information, entertainment or opportunities, VinHol Global Enterprises LLC has a host of other sites. Here are a few:

Whether it's a joke, a cartoon, or the antics of a pet, find laughter and enjoy it often

What Causes Fibromyalgia? While the cause (or causes) of fibromyalgia is still unknown, research suggests that the following factors may play a role: Traumatic physical or psychological events, such as an automobile accident or neck injury. A viral or bacterial infection or an autoimmune disease such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis. Abnormalities in brain chemicals such as serotonin, a neurotransmitter (a substance that carries messages between nerve cells) that plays a role in regulating mood.

Can Lifestyle Changes Help Manage Fibromyalgia? Lifestyle modifications may help improve fibromyalgia symptoms. They include: Exercise – Low-impact aerobics, stretching, and other physical activity. Yoga – stretching, breathing, and relaxing yogic techniques. Stress management – Relaxation/meditation practices, guided imagery, and cognitive-behavioral approaches can help develop new methods for coping with symptoms.

Diet/Nutrition - It has been suggested that a diet rich in fruits, vegetables, and omega-3 essential fatty acids may help strengthen the body's natural ability to heal. However, no specific diet has yet been proven to improve fibromyalgia symptoms

Sometimes Snap Shots bring you the information you need, without your having to leave the site, while other times it lets you "look ahead," before deciding if you want to follow a link or not.

Should you decide this is not for you, just click the Options icon in the upper right corner of the Snap Shot and opt-out.

Have you been in a funk, not understanding the reason for your bad moods and lack of energy? Are you isolating yourself from others because you never know how you will feel from moment to moment? Have you noticed that friends and family members have backed away from spending time with you? Is living from day-to-day becoming more and more of a burden, with no light in sight? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, you may be experiencing a medical illness known as depression.

Chronic pain can make us feel isolated and helpless, especially if its cause is an illness or physical condition for which there's no cure or effective medical treatment. At times of deepest despair, finding ways to nurture our spirits can help us not only cope with the pain, but also discover nuggets of grace, comfort, and productivity that can move us through and beyond the helplessness and hopelessness we feel.

TO Bands

When we are in great pain, finding true peace and comfort is not easy. But it is possible, if we first try to still our worries and fears, both external and internal. Finding a place where there are no noisy distractions is a great start. Enjoying the outward quiet, we can then calm our inner selves and nurture peace within.

Agriculture & Argri-Food CanadaAgriculture & Argri-Food Canada reports... "In the U.S., baby boomers who started turning 50 in 1996 are doing so at a rate of 300,000 per month. The interest in retarding the aging process and remaining healthy will continue to drive the market demand for functional food products."

According to CNNmoney, February 10, 2000 (from the editors of CNN and MONEY Magazine)...

"The market for functional foods has been estimated at $20 billion annually in the U.S. alone, according to the reports. It is expected to grow at some 15 percent each year."

OUR LINK OF THE WEEK:  Bodylastics

Bodylastics is recommended and used by personal trainers, the U.S. Military, Pro Athletes, and even S.W.A.T. teams.  We have also been featured on QVC, HSN and in publications like Mens Fitness, Self Magazine, Prevention, Fitness, Exercise For Men, Delta Sky, Justine Magazine, Muscle and Fitness Hers and Flex.

Pain, after all, is invisible and subjective. That means your pain is unique to you. We have heard people liken back pain to everything from a hot poker going down one or both legs to a chronic aching sensation localized to the lumbar area. It doesn't matter what words you use, just try to explain the pain, what causes it (position, certain movements, or whatever), and what feels good or is what is comfortable for you.

Chronic pain being considered a disease

SYDNEY (UPI) -- Chronic pain, which more than one-quarter of U.S. adults report suffering, should be considered a disease in its own right, an Australian expert says. (CLICK YOUR PICKS FOR PRODUCTS THAT HAVE MADE A MAJOR IMPACT ON MY PERSONAL FIGHT AGAINST CHRONIC PAINS)

Dr. Michael J. Cousins
of the Pain Management Research Institute at the University of Sydney says the concept that chronic pain is a disease in its own right is leading to new specific treatments aimed at physical, psychological and environmental components of this major disease.

"Chronic pain is different from acute pain," Cousins said in a statement. "If pain persists despite reasonable treatment from a primary care physician and other specialists, the advice of a pain medicine specialist should be sought. The earlier such help is obtained the greater the chance of returning to a reasonable range of life activities."

Cousins noted that too few pain medicine specialists are being trained and not enough pain patients have access to effective treatments.

"In the near future, diagnosis and treatment of persistent pain will be markedly different," Cousins said. "Drugs such as morphine that provide only symptomatic relief will be replaced by or supplemented with a new generation of therapies targeted at the disease process."

My Firm Belief Is That We Must Do Everything We Can To Prevent Our Pains From Controlling Our Entire Lives. There Are Days That The Pain Wears Us Down Or Just Plain Prevents Us From Even Getting Started. Then There Are Days When We Can See Thru Most Of The Pain. It's Those Days That I Want To Help All Of Us To Maximize The Moment And Seize The Opportunities That Lie Before Us. Those Are The Days That Give Us More Reasons To Not Give In To The Depression And To Reach Out To Our Family And Friends For Moral Strength. The Pain May Be Part Of Our Life But I For One Will Be Damned If I'm Going To Let The Pain Be My Only Life. Let's Work Together To Continue To Discover Ways To Tolerate Our Pains Daily.

Love good for the heart, so is chocolate

NASHVILLE (UPI) -- Healthy, loving relationships do the heart good, but so do chocolate and wine, a U.S. cardiologist says. (ENJOY THE LINGERIE?  WHY NOT ORDER SOME FOR YOURSELF AND THAT SPECIAL ONE IN YOUR LIFE? CLICK YOUR PICK AND PLACE YOUR ORDER)

Charmeuse and matching lace babydoll with sexy side, cut-away front, adjustable straps and comes with tie side thong panty Dr. Julie Damp of the Vanderbilt Heart and Vascular Institute says most people who are married or who are in close, healthy relationships tend to be less likely to smoke, are more physically active and are more likely to have a well-developed social structure -- and as a result have lower levels of stress and anxiety.

Sheer net and lace babydoll with shirred lace and netting on cups, lace ruffle hem, adjustable straps and comes with g-string  "There is a theory -- unproven -- that people who are in loving relationships may experience neuro-hormonal changes that have positive effects on the body, including the cardiovascular system," Damp says in a statement.

Soft nylon embroidered netting babydoll has satin lined underwire cups. Include thong However, giving a box of dark chocolates and a bottle of red wine to your loved one -- or yourself -- won't hurt either, Damp says. Studies show both are good for the heart.

Sexy lycra/mesh slip with matching g-string Dark chocolate -- the darker the better -- contains flavonoids, antioxidants, which have positive effects on many different body systems including the cardiovascular system.

image Flavonoids are also present in red wine and moderate alcohol consumption -- not more than one drink a day for women and one to two for men -- is associated with lower rates of cardiovascular events such as heart attacks.

WHY DO DOCTORS ASK WHAT THEY ASK, ISN'T MY PAIN OBVIOUS

Doctors ask about the history and characteristics of pain, so that they can identify its cause and develop a treatment strategy. To evaluate the severity of pain, doctors sometimes use a scale of 0 (none) to 10 (severe) or ask the person to describe the pain as mild, moderate, severe, or excruciating. For children, drawings of faces in a series—from smiling to frowning and crying—can be used to determine the severity of pain. No laboratory test can document the presence or the severity of pain.

Doctors always try to determine whether a bodily injury or disease is causing the
pain; they also consider psychologic causes. Many chronic disorders (such as cancer, arthritis, sickle cell anemia, and inflammatory bowel disease) cause pain, as do acute disorders (such as wounds, burns, torn muscles, broken bones, sprained ligaments, appendicitis, kidney stones, and a heart attack). Psychologic disorders (such as depression and anxiety) can worsen pain. Sometimes pain is determined to be caused mostly or completely by psychologic disorders; such pain is called psychogenic pain.

 Doctors also consider whether
pain is acute or chronic. Acute pain begins suddenly and usually does not last long. When severe, it may cause anxiety, a rapid heartbeat, an increased breathing rate, elevated blood pressure, sweating, and dilated pupils. Chronic pain persists for weeks or months. The term usually describes pain that persists for more than 1 month beyond the usual course of an illness or injury, pain that recurs off and on for months or years, or pain that is associated with a chronic disorder such as cancer. Usually, chronic pain does not affect the heartbeat, breathing rate, blood pressure, or pupils, but it may result in other problems, such as depression, disturbed sleep, decreased energy, loss of appetite, weight loss, and loss of interest in sexual activity.

Many people who are being treated for chronic pain may experience a brief, often severe flare-up of pain. It is called breakthrough pain because it breaks through the regularly scheduled pain treatment. Typically, breakthrough pain begins suddenly, lasts up to 1 hour, and feels much like the person's chronic
pain except it is more severe. Breakthrough pain may differ from person to person and is often unpredictable.
